Although there are no hotels on Cape Clear Island there are a number of places to stay on that will make your visit to the island even more special.
Chléire Haven
At Chléire Haven, a glamping site overlooking the island’s South Harbour, visitors can enjoy the novelty of staying in a Mongolian Yurt or a Bell Tent.
Yurts are spacious circular tents made from a wooden lattice covered with protective felt. Each yurt at Chléire Haven can sleep up to six people. They come with made-up beds, a veranda overlooking the bay and a log-burning stove inside – ideal for keeping the inside snug when the temperature drops at night.
Travellers can also book an area in which to pitch their own tents.
Cape Clear Holiday Centre
The Cape Clear Holiday Centre offers three-bedroom self-catering cottages on Cape Clear Island, with the season beginning at Easter and closing at the October Bank Holiday weekend.
A range of Airbnb options are also available but travellers are encouraged to book in advance as they do book up fast during peak season!
