Your Community Woodland needs you

Call for Volunteers (Oibrithe deonacha ag teastáil)

Here’s another call for volunteers for some tree planting in Cape Clear Community Woodland. This is planned for Saturday 24 January next starting at 10am at the Mass Track.

Thirty years growing ( Tríocha bliain ag fás)

Our Woodland was first started over 30 years ago and bisects the very popular Mass Track and Green Loop.  These cross the central part of the Island. The lush woodland vegetation gives way to stunning views of the surrounding landscape, both maritime and seascapes.

A Job well done

“Togha na hOibre” meaning a job well done to all who have volunteered over the years for the annual tree planting. Today, they and our many visitors  are rewarded by thriving lush woodland. This is interspersed increasingly with native berry producing trees that support our Wildlife.

Sponsership

We in Cape Clear Ferries are delighted to sponsor this annual initiative. As they say on the Island “Ar scáth a céile a mhaireann na daoine”.

And a Session to follow

And for anyone visiting the Island that weekend, “is leor nod don eolach”. Because we heard that the local musicians are planning a session in the Club that evening.
